UCAP/ Kitchen Table
UCAP is submitting the DHS grant to fund a new location near Worthington. This location is intended to be the main food shelf in the Worthington area. The targeted location is an old bowling alley. The goal of this project is to increase food access in the Worthington area with a primary focus on the diverse population of the area.
IMPACT
Increased Access: A large food shelf that residents of the Worthington area can access.
Increased Fresh Food: Storage space and refrigerators and freezers will allow for the distribution of perishable foods.
Improved Shopper Experience: A choice food shelf following super shelf guidelines will allow shoppers to make their selections.
Improved Organizational Health: The space has the potential to increase services including cooking classes, education, crisis services, and more.
